Faith Forward Families Volunteer Opportunities
About Faith Forward Families
Faith Forward Families is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful experiences and support systems for working single-parent families. Through our Yes Day Experience Program, community partnerships, volunteer initiatives, and family-centered programming, we help families experience moments that matter while building belonging, encouragement, and connection.
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life who believe in compassion, service, and strengthening families. While single parents are strongly encouraged to apply and share their lived experiences, many roles are also ideal for individuals, couples, retirees, professionals, and youth volunteers who want to make a difference.
Many volunteer opportunities also encourage parents to involve their children in service whenever appropriate, helping teach compassion, gratitude, and community involvement.
All volunteers are expected to:
Represent Faith Forward Families in a positive and respectful manner
Work collaboratively as team players
Maintain confidentiality when working with family information
Communicate professionally and reliably
Support the mission and values of Faith Forward Families
Complete any required training, background checks, or onboarding processes related to their role
Volunteer time commitments and requirements may vary depending on the position and event needs.
Faith Forward Families volunteer opportunities are offered on a voluntary, non-compensated basis. Volunteers generously contribute their time, talents, and service in support of the organization’s mission and community impact.
Letters of service are provided if needed.

Benefits of Volunteering with Faith Forward Families
While all volunteer positions with Faith Forward Families are unpaid service opportunities, volunteers receive something equally meaningful — the opportunity to create lasting impact within the lives of single-parent families and the surrounding community.
Volunteers become part of a mission-driven community built on compassion, encouragement, teamwork, and meaningful connection. Through service, many volunteers build lasting friendships, strengthen leadership skills, involve their children in community outreach, and experience the joy that comes from helping others create moments that matter.
- Building meaningful relationships and community connections
- Opportunities to serve alongside family members and youth volunteers
- Leadership development and hands-on nonprofit experience
- Participation in special volunteer appreciation events
- Invitations to Faith Forward Families gatherings and community projects
- Recognition opportunities for outstanding service and impact
- The joy and fulfillment that comes from making a difference in the lives of families
Faith Forward Families also plans to host an annual volunteer and community appreciation gala celebrating the individuals, families, sponsors, and community partners who help make our mission possible.
Above all, volunteers become part of something bigger than themselves — a community committed to saying “yes” to families who simply need encouragement, connection, and moments that matter.
